How to reach ASPNetWorld

If you know of a Mac program, game or plugin that would fit right into our little catalogue of 636 entries, I would love to hear about it. I am always on the lookout for tools that help people make sense of their audio, get creative, or just get things done, and reader suggestions have led to some real gems. I cannot promise that every submission will be added—I do try each one on my own machines first, just like a teacher testing out a classroom exercise—but if it earns its place, I will credit you on the page.

Sending a suggestion

  1. Find the right address. Fire off your message to [email protected]. That inbox comes straight to me, Gareth Lloyd, and I read every single one.
  2. Name the programme. Tell me the application and the exact version you are running. If you spotted it here on ASPNetWorld already, include the version shown on its page, so I know right away what is being compared.
  3. Describe your setup. Add your macOS version and whether you are working on an Apple Silicon Mac or an Intel machine. That one detail saves a whole round of follow‑up emails.
  4. Explain what caught your attention. A sentence or two about what the software does and why it might suit our readers goes a long way. Think of the sort of friendly explanation you would give a fellow student in an evening class.
  5. Mention any quirks. If the installer needs a workaround, or the latest build refuses to run on Monterey while an older one purrs along, please note it. Our install notes are built from exactly that kind of real‑world observation.

After you press send

I do not keep anyone waiting longer than necessary, but since I split my time between the studio and the classroom, a reply might take a little while. Sometimes a suggestion arrives while I am setting up microphones for a recording session, and other times I can answer within the same afternoon. You will not receive an auto‑reply, just a personal message from me once I have had a moment to sit down with a cup of tea and give your idea the attention it deserves. And because every comment and suggestion on the site is moderated, if you ever post on a programme page you will see your own words marked “awaiting moderation” until I have checked them—a small measure that keeps the place tidy and the advice reliable.
